Gaza - Ma'an - The Danish deputy leader of the opposition
Red-Green alliance, has said that he has submitted a lawsuit against
the Israeli foreign minister, Tsipi Livni, that is visiting Denmark,
on charges of performing war crimes in Lebanon.
The website of the office of Palestinian affairs in Norway, As
Sifsaf, in conjunction with Arab news agency, A'ana, disclosed the
announcement of the party spokesman Frank A'ain. "Livni represents
the State of Israel that, without the slightest doubt, executed war
crimes in Lebanon, where a large number of innocent civilians were
killed, just as happened in the village of Qana. We have a duty,
according to international law, to chase those responsible for war
crimes."
Danish newspapers said that the call was submitted on Friday
yesterday to the Office of the Attorney General, where it was
rejected, on the basis that the Israeli minister enjoys diplomatic
immunity and she can not be pursued.
In the same regard, 52 Arab human rights organizations called on the
UN to suspend the membership of Israel in the international
organization, to punish it for war crimes executed during the
aggression against Lebanon.
These organizations pointed out that the Israeli occupation has
arrested ten thousand Palestinians and Lebanese amid international
silence, while the United States and European countries raise war
over the arrest of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah.
